In accordance to its aspirations to implement and promote programs and projects for entrepreneurship development and other support services, the Ang Kasangga Partylist,represented by Congressman Teodorico T. Haresco Jr., hand over cash loans worth a total of P1,150,000 to different transport associations in the province of Aklan.
In a simple ceremony held at the conference hall of the Provincial Governor’s Office, Cong. Haresco, assisted by Gov. Carlito S. Marquez, released P250,000 check to the Poblacion Kalibo Aklan Tricycle Operators and Drivers Association; P250,000 for Kalibo-New Washington FilCab Operators and Drivers Association; P250,000 for Ibajay-Aklan Tricycle Operators and Drivers Association; P250,000 for Nabas Transport Association; and P150,000 for New Washington Hooper Operators and Drivers Association.
Cong. Haresco said that the loan interest is 6%, payable after two years, or equivalent to a meager 15-centavos a day. He also revealed that he donated his 6 months of salary from the Congress to add to the loan grant.
The leaders of the transport groups expressed their gratitude as this assistance will boost their cooperative livelihood programs and promised astute utilization of the funds.
